Allergies are diagnosed in a highly specific manner so that patients receive help by their specialist in no time. We increase quality of life, enable personalized treatment, advance research and relieve our health system.

We need you for:

  • Development, optimization, and characterization of immunoassays (e.g., ELISA, multiplex and array-based platforms)

  • Design and execution of analytical validation studies in line with established guidelines (e.g., CLSI – Clinical & Laboratory Standards Institute), including:

    • Precision (repeatability and intermediate precision)

    • Accuracy, linearity, and analytical sensitivity/specificity

    • Establishment and verification of calibration models and standard curves

  • Statistical analysis and fitting of assay data, including curve modeling, performance evaluation, and trend analysis

  • Planning, execution, and documentation of verification and validation activities

  • Systematic troubleshooting and continuous improvement of assay performance

  • Preparation of comprehensive technical reports summarizing experimental findings and validation outcomes

  • Clear communication of results, including presentation of data, interpretation, and formulation of recommendations for further development steps

  • Proactive identification and implementation of technical improvements for new and existing (legacy) assays

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field

  • Strong hands-on experience in immunoassay development and validation

  • Proven track record in designing and executing analytical validation experiments, in accordance with CLSI guidelines (Clinical & Laboratory Standards Institute), including precision, linearity, sensitivity, specificity, and robustness assessments

  • Experience with calibration strategies and curve fitting (e.g., 4PL/5PL models) and understanding of assay dynamic range and performance characteristics

  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical evaluation using tools such as Excel, GraphPad Prism, R, Python, or similar

  • Structured, detail-oriented working style with strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly document, interpret, and present complex scientific data

We offer:

  • A full-time position

  • Annual pass for Vienna's public transport and Pluxee vouchers

  • Collaboration with people who care about human and veterinary patients alike

  • An environment where you feel empowered to ask questions, make requests and offer ideas
